kibbles: You may be happy to hear:

FLYLADY is focusing on LAUNDRY this week!

Also, I like the new All citrus detergent. Goes well with the Clorox lemon liquid bleach.

Hi, everyone. I just though I'd introduce myself to the community. I'm Seph. So, hi!

Why must there be an inch of space the school laundry machines and the wall? It just took me 17 minutes to retrieve a fallen piece of clothing.

kibbles: I am so excited

I squealed with joy when I saw that my new place already has a washer and drier in place, bigger than the one I am currently using.

It really was one of the deciding factors in my move. I am not kidding.

bertho: Laundry is dangerous!

Still moving into our new house, but the washer and dryer have been here for a few days. They're in a nice little room off the kitchen (little being the key word - we had to lift the dryer up over the washer to get it in) with a folding door. I went to close it earlier after tossing in a pillow that needed washing, and I caught the knuckle of my middle finger in the middle of the folding door. It hurts. I'm sad.

fweebles: Cross-border laundry

I recently completed my first load of laundry in a foreign country!

It was uneventful, except for a moment of consternation when I discovered the dryer was calibrated in US minutes. Luckily, I was able to convert to Canadian minutes*, and all was well. Hurray for clean clothes, American style.

* -- 1 Imperial minute = 1.00 metric minutes, in case you were wondering.

kibbles: Why is bluette so hard to find?

Woe -- just WOE -- I need to wash my whites, and how can I make them all bright and beautiful without my beloved Bluette?

kibbles: Oh yeah

My favorite machine is the Haier, where it washes and dries in the same machine, you just put dirty clothes in and in a couple of hours (I know, long) they come out clean AND dry.

kibbles: Things I can't live without.

Zout for stains. Those funky things you throw in the wash to get the colors that are floating around in the water on. (i.e. if you put it in your white wash and you threw a red sock in, the red goes on the cloth and not the clothes.) Biz That Downy softener that makes less wrinkles. Bluette! Tide I think is my fave detergent. I have one of those dorky 'flip and fold' things, and I SWEAR by it, I am almost insane enough to take a photo of my neat thinly folded shirts and post it here! Oxyclean for some situations. That goopy bleach, clorox ultra, because it doesn't splash, turning yet another black tshirt a funny color. :D I know. I'm a nut.

pixiexxstix: Hi!! I'm *new* ::Waves dorkishly to everyone::

I hate doing laundry... anyone feel like coming over and doing it for me? I'm going to the beach tomorrow... I need my clothes to be clean. Seriously. Later. ~*~Jessi~*~
